Allen Evans with Brian Shaw
NrG Light founder Allen Evans with Brian Shaw, four-time World’s Strongest Man, at Utah FitCon.
NrG Light started because of my dad, Deloy Evans.
Deloy was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served as a helicopter door gunner with the 101st Airborne Division. He earned a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star with Valor, and many other awards for his service. After returning home, he became a firefighter for the City of Las Vegas, where he served for 30 years. More than any of those titles or awards, though, he was one of the most humble and selfless people I've ever known.
By any measure, he was a war hero. He never would have described himself that way. He would say he was just doing his job.
He spent his life helping other people. Whether he was serving his country, protecting his community as a firefighter, or helping family, friends, and neighbors, that was just who he was.
When my dad was 40, he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. For decades he dealt with the pain, inflammation, and limitations that came with it, but he almost never complained. He just kept going.
Watching him live with that for so many years made me want to find ways to help with his comfort, mobility, and quality of life. That search is what first pulled me into the science of light therapy and eventually became the beginning of NrG Light.
We lost my dad in 2023, before he ever had the chance to use the systems that would become NrG Light. I wish he could have seen what this turned into.
But he is still the reason behind it.
The way he lived—with courage, humility, resilience, and a constant willingness to help other people—is what I want this company to stand for.
NrG Light was built with a simple goal: to make advanced, customizable light therapy systems that give people better tools to support their wellness, recovery, performance, and quality of life.
This company exists because of one man who spent his life helping others.
Thanks for letting NrG Light be part of your journey.
